On Thursday 19th March 3D Printing Studios trained their 2000th person in 3D printing. The training course was hosted at the brand new Burpengary State School just outside Brisbane and offered lucky teachers and students the chance to get hands on with 3D Scanning, 3D Design and 3D Printing.

3D Printing Studios has been at the forefront of in school education by supplying 3D Printers and training to Private and State Schools.

Since first offering their hands-on course in August 2012 in Sydney, the course has become incredibly popular with everyone from artists and hobbyists to professors and surgeons, joining in. “The interest in 3D Printing is incredible” said Stu Grover, one of the founders of 3D Printing Studios. “Our 1st course was sold out in 3 days and had 30 participants, nearly 3 years on demand is still high and they are all sold out well in advance.“.

Many of the participants from the basics course have come back to the team at 3D Printing Studios and asked them to provide more advanced training, so to meet demand they have created a new Amateur to Professional course. “This course differs from our basics course”, said Stu, “Its 3 days of intensive training using the latest and greatest 3D technology available today”. The course is targeted at Engineers, Entrepreneurs and Manufacturers who are looking to integrate 3D technologies into their business. It will give participants a chance to get hands-on with over $1m worth of 3D Scanning, 3D Design and 3D Printing equipment from all the top vendors. They’ll be able to assess the relative strengths and weaknesses of each of the 3D technologies in order to best understand what technology to integrate into their business. The Hands on basics course is run regularly at multiple locations in Sydney as well as the 3D Printing Studios in Brisbane and Singapore. The course costs $85, lasts 3 hours and no prior experience is required. For more information go to http://3dprintingstudios.com/Training/Basic

We hope the NMW  will see via our training programs the advantages & disadvantages with the current 3D Printing Technologies. 3D Printing Studios has multiple printing technologies from metal printing capabilities to plastic extrusion, this puts us in the ideal position to demonstrate these technologies without being tied to one particular manufacturer.

We would like to show the Manufacturing Industry the best Desktop FDM 3D Printer under $5k  (Cubicon Single) currently available in Australia. This machine not only produces very good quality parts but uses Multiple filters (Hepa, Carbon and Purafil Catalyst filter) built-in to remove potentially harmful toxins.
