How 3D Printed EOATs are Helping Robotics Get a Grip in Manufacturing

End of arm tools are the “hands” of robotic machinery that do the work of grasping, pushing and moving, which makes them an indispensable part of this manufacturing technology. Despite their value, they’re not necessarily easy or quick to make. They can often be bulky, expensive implements that take time to design and produce.

Durable FDM 3D printing technology offers a cost-effective and efficient alternative to the traditional manufacturing methods and materials used to produce EOATs. 3D printed EOATS are also easily customizable for each application and are capable of incorporating unique features like integral vacuum channels that are difficult, if not impossible, to produce on metal tools.
